About Daryl

Daryl Anderson is a USA Today best-selling writer, and author of mystery novels set in the wilds of north Florida.
As a child in Baltimore, Maryland, Daryl had dreamed of becoming a writer, but life had other ideas. After several years of working dead-end jobs, she returned to school to become a teacher, eventually earning a degree in English from the University of Florida. For many years, Daryl enjoyed teaching, but after a time, she felt the need for a challenge, and so returned to school, this time for a nursing degree. As an RN, Daryl soon found her niche in psych nursing, but long Daryl Anderson is a USA Today best-selling writer, and author of several mystery novels set in the wilds of north Florida.
After a few false starts, Daryl gravitated to mystery writing. As a lifelong devotee of Christie, Poe, and Chandler, it was a natural fit, and she never looked back. Daryl lives in Gainesville with her husband and two spoiled dogs Pitch and Sally. She spends her days—and nights—happily plotting murders in the Sunshine State. When not contemplating homicide, she enjoys gardening, vegetarian cooking, and hiking.
