About Daryl

Daryl Anderson is a USA Today bestselling mystery writer.

As a kid in Baltimore, Daryl always wanted to write, but life got in the way. Before picking up the pen, she was a waitress, cashier, movie usher, hostess, telemarketer (only one day!), salesperson, English professor, GED tutor and psych nurse. 

When Daryl finally gave writing a whirl, she naturally gravitated to mystery and crime fiction. A longtime devotee of classic detective fiction and modern female sleuths like Tess Monaghan and V.I. Warshawski, Daryl’s mysteries feature strong but flawed characters caught in a showdown with evil.

Though she came to writing later in life, better late than never. 

Daryl currently lives in Florida with her husband and two spoiled dogs Pitch and Sally. When not plotting her latest homicide, she enjoys gardening, vegetarian cooking, and hiking.
